Teenagers and our lives

There is always a time in our lives where we want to feel safe. We want to know that someone really cares and loves us as human beings. As teenagers we of course tend to do stupid things. Yet, we still want to be loved. Have you ever heard of the term peer pressure? lots of teens go through this in their lives. Whether you are being pressured to try a new drug that all your friends are doing, or just something that is out of your comfort zone. Everyone has a story. You hear your friends or other teenagers talking about sex and how good it is. Teens try to make sex seem  as if it is okay to try it. Well it is not. You may be pressured into experiencing sex for the first time. For both male and female.

Did you know that peer pressure is also another form of bullying? In my high school that I used to attend, you would see kids all over each other. Kissing in front of adults. Cussing with confidence and strutting their way across the campus with pregnant bellies. Where is the fun in that? It is so hard to try to keep your self motivated from sinking into peer pressure because so many people try to make you do things you don't like. Our teachers and our schools lecture us abut bullying and sex and peer pressure. However, it made no affect.Kids still sleep around, get pregnant sink into peer pressure.

What is the point of telling someone the downfalls of what they do, if they are not going to take it into consideration? That is why teens should tell teens. Let a friend know what they are doing is wrong. That you only care for their safety and their well being, like I care for yours. Teenagers set example for the younger generation. If they see us engaging in  inappropriate activity, they are going to follow into our footsteps. Bullying takes a big part out of our lives that keeps us from growing as humans. If we can help decrease the bullying and increase the positive things in life, we will have a stronger bond.

Why not take a chance in life  to do something good. Do something that will inspire someone else. Do something that will put a smile on other kids. Do something that will promote outstanding behavior. Once you start doing something good, people will follow behind you. Be a leader! post a comment of what you feel should be done.

A personal Story

People will say nasty things to your face or behind your back. It just depends on the person. Not all will like you ,not all will be interested in what you have to say. That is why I chose to create a blog about bullying. It seems as if you are so deep into the drama of bullying, that you forgotten who you are. You forget all of the great tasks you have accomplished before the bully came into your life. You forgot that the person who is bullying you, will only make you stronger. Yes!, that sounds incredibly weird. But its true. Why would someone bully you if there was nothing good about you? understand? I mean, yeah it hurts your feelings or makes you wanna cry! but, nobody will talk about you unless you have something going good with yourself.

Well from kindergarten to ninth grade I attended public school. Can you guess what happened during those years? OF COURSE! I was bullied all the time. Okay, some days it was so tough I cried to myself and prayed to god to help me. The only thing that really helped me was to stand up to my bully. You see, someone only bullies you cause your something they are not, and they want it. BAD! put them in their place. Tell them Hey! leave me alone. I know its so hard because usually it will end up  in physical activity. Its worth a shot. Anyways, I had a friend. She was my best friend in school. We use to tell each other everything. However one day when I left for a short period of time and came back. She and my other so called friend Jasmine tried to jump me at school. It was the worst experience because you go from having this awesome friend to someone who is wanting to hurt you physically for a reason you are not sure of. So please make sure you know and trust that person fully.

Suicidal Moments

As you know bullying is pretty serious. But the public is not taking it as serious as they should be. Every day someone is committing suicide because another person is bullying them. If you are not certain what the official definition is I will tell you. "It is to use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone) typically to force him or her to do what one wants". Know that you know what bullying officially is we can move on.

Throughout the years kids of all ages, specifically teenagers have been committing suicide, or, are being murdered by someone who was bullying them. The next thing that you need to read to really get you thinking about bullying is stories of kids who killed themselves. Please pay attention to the stories of Megan Taylor Meier and Jack Reese.

This is your time to really grasp the moment and remember these kids. Remember they were being bullied and nobody saved them. Nobody understood what they were going through. Please contact me with any of your problems. I would hate to see you on google as the next kid who committed suicide.

Coping

  1. Be confident. Bullies hate when people are confident about themselves
  2. Laugh it off. Bullies hate when you don't take them seriously
  3. Ignore. If you ignore the bully he/she may leave you alone
  4. Agree. If a bully calls you a name agree with them.

a. Bully: You look ugly in that outfit

The truth about bullying

How many deaths is it going to take for people to realize that bullying has got to end? Between fourth and eighth grade 90% of students are hostages of bullying. When you think of a bully you think of someone who is rude. Someone who has the ability to pick on others which makes him feel on top of the world. As the myth goes on, he is very rare. Sadly to say, bullying someone can make you very popular. Researchers feel that bullying should not be handled as the part of growing up. I don’t blame them; it is time to put an end to bullying once and for all.

Yet, here is the question. Why would someone waste their time picking on others? Uninvolved parents tend to make the bully feel like they are not loved. Aggression in the family is another result of bullying. If your parent or parents hurt you in any physically way, bullies feel they need to injure others so they too can feel what the bully felt when they were being hurt. Bullying is more likely to happen in schools that do not stress the rules enough. Although certain schools do stress the rules, it seems as if the message is not getting across to everyone very clearly.

Oh, how many times I have heard “Not my daughter.” “Not my son”. The truth is, 50 % percent of the time it is your daughter, it is your son. You just choose not to believe your kid can be capable of bullying another kid so you just ignore the situation. Not to mention, some parents even encourage their kids to bully. For that matter, I am not even sure why parents do that. People need to start paying attention because too many youths are dying in today’s society from being bullied. One of 10 students even drops out of school because they are bullied.

In ninth grade I had a girl who used to bully me. She was taller, thicker, and way immature. She only messed me with me because I was pretty and I was something that she could never amount to be. One day as I was exiting from the Freshman Center she was being approached by a junior or a senior I believe. She kept her head down low and said not a word to the girl. That shows you how bullies only torment the ones who are not going to do anything to them. You will not even believe what happens next.
